PSL 2022: Umpire Aleem Dar tries to disrupt Shahnawaz Dahani’s celebration

Multan Sultans’ pacer Shahnawaz Dahani was brilliant against Quetta Gladiators as he claimed two wickets and gave away only 22 runs in three overs bowled. However Dahani found a hilarious way to appeal and celebrate during a game between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.

In the ongoing Pakistan Super League a dramatic incident took place, during the game between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators. Shahnawaz Dahani bowled a length ball to Naseem Shah and he edged the ball back onto the stumps  as he tried to play ball over long-on. Dahani started running back in the celebration and bowed towards the crowd after taking the wicket.

In the 14th over of the Gladiators’ innings after Dahani dismissed Naseem Shah. As soon as the ball hit the sumps, Dahani turned backwards and broke into celebration and started to sprint towards the stands. However, umpire Dar tried to stop him mid-way but was unsuccessful in doing so as Dahani made his way in front of the fans. 

Shahnawaz Dahani and David Willey finished with identical figures of 2-22 while left-arm spinners Khushdil Shah and Asif Afridi also picked up two wickets apiece. Earlier in the evening, they put up a massive total of 245/3 on the board. And Dahani’s team Multan Sultans led by Mohammad Rizwan registered an emphatic 117-run victory against Quetta Gladiators.
