Unmukt Chand thrills crowd with slams two sixes in his second BBL match

India U19 captain Unmukt Chand introduced his arrival within the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) in Australia with elegant energy hitting throughout his second outing for Melbourne Renegades. He first Indian cricketer to play in Australia’s Big Bash T20 League .

The 28-year-old Chand, a right-handed batsman, made his BBL debut against Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL. He had disappointed with a six-run shot in his BBL debut, re-formed as he stroked his way to 29 runs with 22 balls including a four and two six. Chand opened his account with a very good pull shot in the back of the wicket for a six and proved to nbe an able to ally to captain Aaron Finch who scored 82 off 64 balls.and also registered his first maximum in the tournament.

Renegades were chasing a target of 171 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and they lost the match by 1 run. 2 runs were needed off the final delivery when Gurinder Sandhu dismissed Cameron Boyce and sealed a win for Thunders.

After the knock, Chand mentioned that he became grateful as a “dream” came correct with him playing at the smartly-known Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Taking to Twitter, Chand wrote: ” it has been a dream contrivance correct 2 play at the @MCG. Felt a childlike energy coming into the G. No longer the final result we wished, alternatively, a gud day out. Optimistically can capture lots of +ves frm this & apply on my nxt & coming adventures. Feels fair appropriate 2 be abet on the mammoth stage.”
