The Novak Djokovic vaccination status subject has been pulled along since a few weeks now with his status getting so much public interest based on his entry in grand slams this year.

Associations of the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open also came out and asked Djokovic of his vaccination status as they said they would decline his entry this year if he is not timely vaccinated against the Coronavirus.

The World no. 1 has not yet revealed his vaccination status but yesterday afternoon he posted a photo on his instagram account with his caption saying that he has been given medical exemption to play and defend his title in Australia for the first grand slam of the year.

A lot of players from the past and present have commented on this subject and believe that it is very unfair how things have been handled for Djokovic just because he has been World no. 1 last year and is the defending champion at Rod Laver.

The Tennis Association of Australia has yet to make a comment on the situation but has given Djokovic the exemption and allowance to travel to Australia for the tournament starting on the 17th of January.
