Kohli has stunned everyone with his announcement to step down as India’s Test Captain. Under his time as captain, India played 68 Tests, winning 40, losing 17, and drawing 11 matches, with a win percentage of 58.82 while registering memorable wins in overseas and home conditions.
Now etizens are blaming the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and its president Sourav Ganguly for ‘politics’ in the Indian cricket board which forced the batter to make the shocking decision. Sourav Ganguly faced considerable criticism with an overwhelming majority of fans blaming him and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah.
However, the three-year term of Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah, the BCCI president, and secretary, will end in September 2022. They can seek another term as per the rules and regulations of the board. While India have achieved much success in the bilateral series, few setbacks have been for the team.
Their other biggest achievement is to bring Rahul Dravid on board first as head of the National Cricket Academy and then as a head coach of the Indian team. While, some fans described it as the best news to come out of Indian cricket in a short time, others feared that the pair had already done enough damage to Indian Cricket.
