Alas, Pant proved to be damaging for the Proteas as he went on to score his century even with his crease partners walking and out faster than Ussain Bolt at the olympics. Pant combined his T20 and test mentality to show everyone his own style of cricket last night in a beautiful show.
Eventually India ended up losing all their wickets with Pant being the last man standing at the crease with India’s total and lead up to 212 runs.
South Africa’s Makram and Elgar came out to bat with quite some time left on Day 3 as Makram quickly departed and Elgar also followed after a 30 run stint at the pitch.
The day’s play ended with South Africa on 103 runs with 2 wickets gone. Day 4 will be crucial with India trying to bowl out South Africa to create history in Cape Town and South Africa trying to chase down the target to continue their dominance over India in South Africa.
