PSL 2022: Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf slaps teammate Kamran Ghulam During the match

The ongoing Pakistan Super League always has been in the news for off the field controversial incidents along with some brilliant on-field action as well. During the Pakistan Super League match between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf slapped his teammate Kamran Ghulam.

The incident happened in the second over of the game when a short ball from Haris Rauf took the top edge off the bat of Peshawar batsman Mohammed Haris . Haris Rauf dismissed Mohammad Haris when Fawad Ahmed took a catch on the fine leg boundary. Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars bowler Haris Rauf loses his cool as he slapped his team-mate Kamran Ghulam while celebrating his wicket.

Earlier, Ghulam had dropped Peshawar Zalmi’s Hazratullah Zazai catch when he attempted to work Haris Rauf’s full delivery away on the leg side and Rauf looked frustrated with the fielder. While, on the penultimate delivery of the very same over, Fawad Ahmed took a fine catch to send back Mohammad Haris back cheaply. However, Ghulam was seen smiling after getting hit but Rauf’s expressions were not the same.

Ghulam bounced back in the game as he executed a stunning run-out in the 17th over when he got the better of opposition skipper Wahab Riaz. Meanwhile, Qalandars have made their best ever finish in a PSL group stage and now have the cushion of an extra game in the playoffs. Qalandars kick-off the playoffs with a mouth-watering Qualifiers clash with the Sultans on Wednesday.

PSL 2022: Chris Gayle Says He Will Be The New Head Coach Of Karachi Kings

Universe Boss’ Chris Gayel shares a hilarious tweet on Saturday. The left-handed batsman Gayle wrote that he will be the head coach of Karachi Kings in the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League.

Karachi Kings finally got their first win in the ongoing 2022 PSL after they defeated Lahore Qalandars by 22 runs on Friday. Karachi Kings haven’t been at their imperious best in the ongoing season of the PSL. Babar Azam, the captain of Karachi Kings also responded to the disappointing performance in the ongoing season of the PSL. However, they managed to end their losing streak on February 18.

Meanwhile, 42 years old Chris Gayel Tagging the Karachi Kings franchise, tweeted, “Hey, PSL, I will be the new head coach of Karachi Kings in the upcoming season. Now there will be no debate about this. In a tweet post, Gayle wrote,“Hey @thePSLt20 – I will be the new head coach next season for @KarachiKingsARY . There’s no argument in this one! #UniverseBoss” while taking a dig at the franchise.

Notably Universe Boss Gayle has 1899 runs in 79 T20Is. He has scored a total of 14, 321 runs in his T20 career with the help of 22 centuries in 445 innings. His best score is 175 runs in 66 balls, which is a world record. He played this innings for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2013. Gayle has not played a Test match since 2014, while he played his last ODI match in the year 2019. One of the world’s explosive batsmen, Gayle has 7214 runs in 103 Test matches while he has scored 10480 runs in 301 One Day Internationals. He is a former West Indies captain too.

Faulkner leaves league after accusing PCB of not honouring his contract, PCB board bans him for life

Australia cricketer James Faulkner Faulkner, who played for the Quetta Gladiators, announced that he was withdrawn from the ongoing Pakistan Super League on Saturday. Faulkner he accused the PCB and PSL management of telling him lies and treating his disgracefully.

The PCB and Quetta Gladiators, however, said that Faulkner has been paid his money for playing in the league as per his contract and added that the Australian will not be picked for the T20 tournament in the future. Faulkner played six matches for the Gladiators this season, he had also apologised to the Pakistan cricket fans for withdrawing from the competition. “I apologise to the Pakistan cricket fans. But unfortunately, I’ve had to withdraw from the last two matches and leave the PSL due to the PCB not honouring my contractual agreements/payments,” Faulkner said on Twitter.

In another tweet, Faulkner said that he wanted to get international cricket back in Pakistan, adding that the treatment he has received from the PCB and the PSL “has been a disgrace”.

“It hurts to leave as I wanted to help get international cricket back in Pakistan as there is so much young talent and the fans are amazing. But the treatment I have received has been a disgrace from PCB and PSL. I’m sure you all understand my position.” Faulkner added.

In response, the PCB said: “The PCB and Quetta Gladiators have regretfully taken note of Mr James Faulkner’s false and misleading accusations and will shortly be released a detailed statement on the matter.”

In another statement the PCB has termed Faulkner’s allegations as baseless and handed him a life ban from the competition. “In the seven years of the HBL Pakistan Super League, no player has ever complained about the non-fulfillment of the PCB’s contractual obligations,” the board said in a statement.

PSL 2022: Ben Cutting took revenge after four years

The ongoing Pakistan super league season has been full of action, drama and entertainment. Notably, during the Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi encounter on Tuesday, Ben slammed Sohail for three back-to-back sixes and raised middle fingers of both hands.

Four years ago in a CPL match Tanveer was hit for a six previous ball , which he replied by Dismissing Cutting the next Ball and Gave a middle finger send off . Ben Cutting never forget that and finally he took his revenge after four years later during the 22nd match of Pakistan Super League.

It happened in the 19th over of the first innings as Peshawar Zalmi were on their way to post a competitive total onboard against Quetta Gladiators, when Sohali Tanvir came to bowl his last over and got smashed by Ben Cutting with 4 sixes in the over. Soon after the raining boundaries, Ben Cutting  showed a middle-finger gesture to Tanvir which later got heat when Sohail made the same gesture. The fans have started sharing their thoughts on this incident through the Twitter.

Meanwhile, Ben Cutting scored 36 runs off 14 balls to guide his side to 185/7 in 20 overs, while Sohail Tanvir registered figures of 4-0-50-0. And Peshawar went on to win the contest by 24 runs after defending 185

PSL 2022: Babar Azam Takes A Outstanding Catch To Dismiss Captain Asif Ali

The ongoing season of PSL 2022 has been quite an entertaining one so far. From blistering knocks to sensational bowling efforts, it has been a complete treat for the fans to watch.

In the ongoing PSL match between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United, taking an outstanding catch to dismiss United’s hard-hitting batter Asif Ali .  It all happened during the final stages of first innings when Asif Ali tried to play a shot over the cover in Usman Shinwari’s delivery. Asif Ali mistimed his shot which gave an opportunity to Karachi Kings captain Babar Azam to think of attempting a catch. He was running backward with the ball was going away from him, and it looked like the ball was out of his reach when something extraordinary happened.

Captain Babar Azam outstretched his right hand and the ball fell right into his palm. The commentators could not believe what just happened. Notably, Karachi Kings skipper Babar Azam set a new record in the Pakistan Super League as he took stellar catches against Islamabad United at the National Stadium Karachi. Babar has become the only non-wicketkeeping fielder to take 35 catches after he took three amazing catches in Sunday’s clash.

However two-time champion Islamabad United won by a commanding 42 runs to hand Karachi Kings their fifth straight loss in the Pakistan Super League. With this win, Islamabad United finds themselves 2nd in the Pakistan Super League 2022 points table, while Babar Azam’s Karachi Kings continue to be at the bottom of the league table.

Mohammad Hasnain’s Bowling Action Found Illegal: He has been Suspended From Bowling In International Cricket

Pakistani pacer Mohammad Hasnain has been banned from bowling after his action was found illegal. The Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday suspended Quetta Gladiators pacer Mohammad Hasnain from further participation in the ongoing seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League .

Hasnain was first reported for a suspect bowling action while playing for Sydney Thunder in Australia’s Big Bash League last month. His action was reported by umpires during a BBL match on January 2. Hasnain was sent for testing following his return from Australia. The test was conducted on January 21 at the ICC’s accredited testing centre in Lahore and the report found his bowling action to be illegal.

Biomechanical testing in Lahore confirmed the 21-year-old breached the 15-degree limit for elbow extension on his “good length delivery, full length delivery, slow bouncer and bouncer”, the PCB said in a statement. “The PCB today received a formal and detailed report from Cricket Australia on Mohammad Hasnain’s assessment test, which stated his elbow extension for his good length delivery, full length delivery, slow bouncer and bouncer exceeded the 15-degree limits,” stated an official PCB release.

Mohammad Hasnain is an asset for Pakistan and one of the very few bowlers to consistently click 145kmp. As such, and keeping his future and Pakistan’s interest at the forefront, the PCB, on the recommendation of the PSL 2022 Technical Committee, has decided he will not be allowed to continue to participate in the Pakistan Super League,” stated PCB.

The PCB also added that the board will now appoint a bowling consultant who will work with Hasnain so that he can rectify his bowling action and be ready for a reassessment. “Instead, he will use this time to work with the PCB-appointed bowling consultant to modify his bowling action so that he can apply for a reassessment and become eligible to return to international cricket as quickly as practically possible,” PCB stated further.
