Wasim Jaffer Gives a Hilarious Reply To a Fan, who is On Anhydrous Fasting

The former opener Wasim Jaffer now enjoys a cult following on social media as he keeps the world updated with his hilarious tweets on cricket. He has emerged as a popular cricket celebrity who shares a number of cheeky and funny tweets.

Jaffer, who is known for his active social media presence had to come across a unique way of responding to a fan in the form of a meme. A fan took to Twitter and mentioned that he is on anhydrous fasting until Wasim Jaffer replies. He wrote, “Day 21 – not drinking water untill Wasim Jaffer replies”.

Meanwhile, replying to the fan, Wasim Jaffer shared a meme in which the veteran actor, Shivaji Satam is offering some water to a lady.

Earlier, Wasim Jaffer said that the Kolkata Knight Riders’ all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer is ahead of Hardik Pandya for the T20 World Cup consideration at this moment. After this series, I feel Iyer is a little bit ahead because you don’t know Hardik Pandya whether he’s bowling now or how fit he is. Obviously how the IPL goes for Hardik Panya will play a very key role but at this point of time, Venkatesh Iyer is ahead of Hardik Pandya,” Jaffer said on ESPNcricinfo.

“I am surprised with how good he’s playing as a No. 6 batter. We have seen him as an opener but for him to come out and get adapted so well at No. 6 and finish games is outstanding. Plus, the way he’s bowled as well, got a couple of important wickets. He definitely gives [India] an edge going into the World Cup,” Jaffer said.

IPL 2022: Wasim Jaffer steps down as Punjab Kings batting coach, shares a hilarious meme to announce his exit

Wasim Jaffer has resigned his role as Punjab Kings’ batting coach a couple of days ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. He joined the then Kings XI Punjab in the year 2019 and worked closely with the support staff till the 2021 season.

Just a day away from the auction and former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer announced that he won’t be part of the Punjab Kings anymore. In Jaffer’s time as the batting coach, skipper KL Rahul had two memorable seasons with the bat scoring 670 and 626 runs in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Jaffer announced his exit from the Punjab-based franchise with a hilarious Twitter post by sharing a meme featuring popular Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor from the movie ‘Ae Dil hei Mushkil’. Jaffer captioned the post, “Adios, and thank you  @PunjabKingsIPL, it’s been a pleasure. Wishing @anilkumble1074 and the team very best for #IPL2022.”

However, this is the second major departure from Anil Kumble’s coaching staff ahead of the new season. Earlier assistant coach Andy Flower had left PBKS and joined the Lucknow Super Giants, who have been appointed him as the head coach ahead of their inaugural season in the league. Notably, with Rs. 72 Crore in the bank, PBKS has the highest auction purse among all 10 teams going into the mega auction.
