The IPL mega-auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. Since it’s going to be a big players auction, many already established stars and young as well as aspiring cricketers will go under the hammer.
1214 players from around the world have registered their name for the mega auction of Indian premier league. One of these players is the first from his country to register for the tournament is Mikyo Dorji from Bhutan. Dorji has played against people like Shahid Afridi during the 2021 edition of the Everest Premier League in Nepal.
Meanwhile, prior to the mega auction, Dorji took to his official Instagram profile and shared a photo along with a video featuring former India captain MS Dhoni. In that video MS Dhoni was seen giving the youngster a piece of valuable advice “Keep it simple. Focus more on the process and less on the results. If you get the process right you will get the result. And enjoy, don’t take too much pressure,” Dhoni told Dorji in the video.
However, Dorji, who dreams of playing in the Indian premier league, he believes it will be a dream come true if he gets picked in the auction. “It will be a rather rare chance for me to be selected for the auction and then by a team,” Dorji was quoted by saying in a Cricket Bhutan press release.
