Ind vs SL: Virat Kohli Signs Autographs For Young Fans

Team India will be hosting Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series, starting from March 4 at Mohali. This Test match will be a historic occasion for Team India as ex-captain Virat Kohli is set to complete a huge milestone by playing his 100th Test match.

Virat Kohli has reached Mohali with Team India for the India vs Sri Lanka series being played in the difficult conditions of Bio Bubble. Kohli today joined other players and he has been regularly practising at the Mohali stadium ahead of the big game. Some young fans had gathered outside the entry gate of Mohali cricket stadium to catch a glimpse of their icons.

However, as soon as he reached the batting nets, he heard young fans, waiting outside an entry gate, asking for his autographs on jerseys. Virat then asked the security guard to collect jerseys of those fans and made sure to give autographs on one or two jerseys before leaving the practice session. Before leaving the nets, he made sure to sign one or two for his young fans. “Paji, ehna to shirts le lo” (Brother, take shirts from them),” said Kohli to the security guard.

“I had never thought that I would get his autograph. He was kind to listen to our request,” said Aslam, a student, who came all the way from Chandigarh on a rented bicycle. “He heard us requesting for an autograph. I was keen on meeting him, but his autograph will work too,” said Sahil, another student.

However, the match is set to be played behind closed doors On Saturday, PCA officials had confirmed that Kohli’s 100th Test match will be behind closed doors as the BCCI won’t be allowing any spectators.
